Craft Update - Summer Sale, Major Tasks update, Performance improvements, and better Windows app!

We’re excited to share the next major step in our Spring (and now Summer) cleanup effort. This is easily the biggest update we’ve released as part of this initiative so far.
The All Tasks view is here. You can now see every task across your entire Space in a single place. Alongside that, we’ve made more than 50 improvements to task management, including multi-select, powerful keyboard shortcuts, and a more consistent experience across platforms.
We also made some huge performance improvements. Typing is now dramatically smoother, battery life is better thanks to reduced CPU usage, navigation feels smoother throughout the app, and document opening is up to 2.3× faster.

Task management in Craft just got a major upgrade. Long list below, but we’ve basically rebuilt large parts of the experience to make it faster, more consistent, and more powerful.
See every task in one place. The new All Tasks view brings together every task across your documents, scheduled or unscheduled, in a single list. No more hunting through documents to find what’s outstanding. Also, a page badge now appears on tasks that live under a Page or a Collection item.
Four ways to view your work. Switch between Inbox, Today, Upcoming, and All Tasks, each with its own sorting, grouping, and filtering options. Group by document, sort by schedule or deadline, and pin important documents to the top.
Work faster with multi-select. Select multiple tasks by dragging on Mac or swiping on iPhone and iPad, then reschedule, set deadlines, or complete them all at once. Use the context menu or the toolbar that appears whenever tasks are selected.
New keyboard shortcuts.

⌘ + ⇧ + S – Turn block into task and set schedule date

⌘ + ⌥ + ⇧ + S – Turn block into task and schedule for today
•
⌘ + ⇧ + D – Turn block into task and set deadline
•
⌘ + ⇧ + R – Set reminder
•
⌘ + ⌥ + ⇧ + R– Set reminder in 1 hour
A faster New Task experience. The New Task window now opens instantly on top of whatever you’re working on, without interrupting your flow or navigating away.
Apple Reminders, better integrated. Reminders due today and in the future now appear alongside your Craft tasks in all relevant views.
Manual sorting in Today’s view. Set grouping to None and you can drag your tasks into any order you like. This manual order is reflected in the Calendar tab and your Daily Note too.
Completed tasks, in context. Completed tasks now appear on the day you finished them, in both the Calendar and your Daily Note.
A unified Daily Note list. The task section in your Daily Note is now a single, unified list.
A refreshed Calendar. The Calendar has an updated design that highlights everything that's important today.
Date picker improvements
You can invoke it with ⌘ + ⇧ + S. The updated date picker now supports natural language input. Also, setting a reminder by keyboard is much easier — add an exact time while scheduling the task. And you can set any time, not just 15-minute increments.
Set your own start of day. Choose a default start-of-day time in Settings.
Interact with Reminders notification. Ability to resolve / snooze / mark complete right after long tap the notification.
Plus dozens of refinements to drag and drop, animations, sorting, and countless small interactions that make task management feel more polished and responsive.
This update also includes significant performance improvements behind the scenes. These changes touch core parts of the editor and overall app experience, so if you notice any issues, please let us know.
Some highlights:

Typing is dramatically smoother. In large documents, typing performance can be up to 5× faster.

Better battery life. Reduced CPU usage means Craft should consume noticeably less power during heavy use.

Smoother navigation throughout the app.

Document opening is up to 2.3× faster.

Tasks got also a major performance bump - faster loading, especially on the Tasks and Calendar pages

Navigation & sidebar improvements
•
Enable a sidebar badge that shows how many tasks you have scheduled for today.
•
New back-button history menu in the navigation bar — long-press the back button to jump.
•
The back menu shows the current page's title for documents.
•
New entry points to Customize Sidebar in Advanced settings and from the sidebar's empty area.
•
Reduced default sidebar width on Mac for wide windows (400 → 290).
•
Space selector on iPhone now anchors to the top-left space icon.

Folder settings panel content is now scrollable.

Reworked Windows app
We are also bringing to you one of our biggest Windows updates we’ve ever worked on. This release is focused entirely on under-the-hood improvements. There are no major new features, but the app should feel faster, more stable, and more reliable throughout.
Task Management improvements are coming to Web and Windows in a few weeks too!
