We’re reaching out with an important update about your free Quip site. Salesforce will be retiring Quip, which means your free Quip account will not be available after March 31, 2027. Salesforce made the strategic decision to reimagine Quip use cases in Slack, Agentforce Sales, and the rest of our product portfolio. What does this mean for you? Your free Quip site retires after March 31, 2027. Until then, you can continue using your current instance and add users as needed. Note that free Quip sites cannot be converted to a paid plan. Why is Salesforce retiring Quip? Quip has been part of Salesforce since 2016, but the way people work has fundamentally changed. Slack is now Salesforce's modern collaboration platform, bringing together people, CRM data, AI, and automation in one place — turning insights into action in the flow of work. Slack offers multiple plans to fit teams of all sizes and needs — review our pricing & packaging page to find the right fit, or contact our sales team. Do I need to take any action? Your Quip instance remains fully functional until March 31, 2027, so no immediate action is necessary. To help make your transition from Quip as smooth as possible, we’ll be rolling out new resources and features throughout the year.
