The Gemini 3 family just got faster. Gemini 3 Flash is now available in preview. It combines the reasoning capabilities of Gemini 3 Pro with Flash-level latency, making it our most capable model for agentic workflows. It outperforms 2.5 Pro while being 3x faster and using 30% fewer tokens for complex reasoning tasks.
It is available today in Google AI Studio, Gemini CLI, Vertex AI, and is the default model for our new agentic platform, Google Antigravity.

We recently announced the GA of Gemini Live API on Vertex AI, which is powered by Gemini 2.5 Flash Native Audio Model signifying a move toward a single, real-time, emotionally aware, and multimodal conversational architecture. Check out the developers guide to building the next generation of multimodal AI applications.
In the The Android Show | XR Edition, we covered the latest platform updates and new capabilities across glasses, headsets and everything in between. We also explored how integrating Gemini enables more conversational, contextual, and helpful experiences.

#DevBytes š¬Upgrade frameworks faster with Antigravity
Upgrading frameworks is essential, but can often be tedious. In this episode, Emma Twersky shows how Google Antigravity can streamline the process by using autonomous agents to plan and execute complex tasks. Watch as the agent parses change logs, fixes deprecation warnings, and updates a Flutter and Dart application to the latest version, eliminating manual steps and verifying stability for you - in under 2 minutes!
Google Cloud has announced AlphaEvolve, a Gemini-powered agent for algorithmic discovery now in private preview. AlphaEvolve uses evolutionary search to iteratively mutate and optimize code against a specific objective function (ground truth).
Chrome 144 Beta is now available. It enables CSS State Queries by default, allowing developers to apply styles to elements based on their interaction state without needing JavaScript observers.
The Go team has published the draft design for Go 1.26. The proposal focuses on a new structured logging interface and improved iterator functions. Public feedback is currently open on the design draft.
Grounding with Google Maps is now available in the Gemini API. You can now give your AI agents read-access to Google's database of 250 million places. This allows your models to verify addresses, check operating hours, and reference real-world locations in their responses, significantly reducing hallucination rates for geospatial queries.
Android Studio Otter 3 (Canary 5) is now available. It introduces Agent Mode for generating Compose UI from screenshots and Journeys for writing tests with natural language. It also adds support for remote MCP servers and running local models via Ollama.

Antigravity and PostgreSQL: No gravity, only vibes
"Vibe coding" usually hits a wall when it comes to the database. In this new deep dive, Rahul Deshmukh from the Cloud Databases team demonstrates how to use the MCP Toolbox within Google Antigravity to "chat" directly with your PostgreSQL instance. Learn how to architect schemas, create partitions, and wire up your backend without ever leaving the flow state.
GDE Alfredo Bautista Santos published a deep dive on using the official Flutter extension for Gemini CLI. Learn how to go from prototype to MVP by turning the CLI into a pair-programmer that understands your file structure and executes complex commands.
