Vercel Ship 2025: Introducing the AI Cloud
At Vercel Ship 2025 we introduced the AI Cloud, a new foundation that extends Vercel’s developer experience with enhanced connectivity, smarter compute, and built-in security for AI-native apps. Highlights include the AI Gateway for model orchestration, optimized Fluid Compute for dynamic workloads, and new primitives like Vercel Sandbox and Queues.
Vercel Functions on Fluid Compute now have Active CPU pricing, which charges for CPU only when your function is actively computing. Building on existing Fluid gains, this brings additional cost savings of up to 90% for workloads like LLM inference, AI agents, or any task with idle time.
Rolling Releases are now generally available, allowing safe, incremental rollouts of new deployments with built-in monitoring, rollout controls, and no custom routing required.
Each rollout starts at a defined stage and can either progress automatically or be manually promoted to a full release. See how it works. Available now for Pro and Enterprise teams.
Stop sophisticated bots mimicking real user behavior before they reach your backend.
Vercel BotID is an invisible CAPTCHA that stops advanced bots without manual or intrusive user challenges. It's built to secure critical routes such as checkouts, logins, signups, APIs, or actions that trigger expensive backend calls like LLM-powered endpoints.
